Concept confirmation - alexis driscoll, concept, growth, idea, strategy, discovery

You’ve got your product/service concept or the offering is already on the market. But you don’t know if you’ve got it right. Do customers want it and do they want it the way it’s spec’d? Before you undertake costly development, make sure there’s no gap between "what" you promise to deliver and "how" your customers expect it to be delivered.

Description of Services

Through a series of interactive interviews or discussion groups with your customers, or their users, we explore if the concept’s promise matches their expectations. This can uncover discontinuities such as specific features and functions, or problems with the marketing mix such as support, availability, maintenance, etc.. Sometimes a trivial, easily corrected flaw can prove fatal.

Whatever is important to your customer is important to you. In these discussions we’ll look for oversights, major and minor. And we’ll work with customers proactively to identify ways to improve the concept. Sometimes a small tweak is all it takes to make the difference between so-so and outstanding.

Outcome

+ A product spec that takes into account customers’ specific requirements for product functionality, sales, marketing, support or any other critical components of the offering.
